AFTERNOON TEA AT ONUTE’s:

On July 17th Labdara residents went on an outing for a visit and afternoon tea at the home of our long-time volunteer, Onute Stonciuviene in Mississauga.  Her son Edward and daughter Regina were there to help out.  It was a beautiful sunny day and we were able to enjoy the lovely garden and were served the classic Lithuanian pink cold beet and cucumber soup “Šaltibarščiai” with ham sandwiches on black rye bread with pickles.  And for desert Onute made her signature Napoleon torte with apricots.  We are thankful that we have such a dedicated, sincere and committed volunteer as Onute who welcomes us to her home every year!
