Every Friday afternoon from 3:00 to 3:45 a group of residents participates in the music therapy program at Labdara led by music therapist Laura. Each resident holds a bell in their hand and responds to various tones played by Laura on the piano. The result is a beautiful duet of piano and bells - hence the name of our residents’ music therapy group - “The Bell Ensemble”.
On September 22nd the residents’ “Bell Ensemble” performed for the residents of Labdara. They played a medley of songs and accompanied them with bells held in their hands. Everyone had an enjoyable afternoon.
The Bell Ensemble is now in rehearsals and is planning to perform during the Labdara residents’ Christmas Party in December.
