GRANDPARENTS’ DAY AT LABDARA

GRANDPARENTS’ DAY AT LABDARA took place on Sunday, September 9th in our “Tado Svetaine” common room instead of outdoors this year - due to threatening dark clouds outside. We had a good turnout and everyone enjoyed ginger ales and strawberry ice cream. Elena Grasmaniene played the accordion and led us in a sing-along of songs about grandmas and grandpas. Volunteer Coordinator Nerijus Augutis recited poetry and performed readings bringing back many memories to everyone about their parents and grandparents. The residents enjoyed spending the afternoon with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
