RESIDENTS' COUNCIL

The Residents’ Council serves in an advisory capacity to the Labdara Lithuanian Nursing Home’s Administrator. It is made up of residents of the nursing home who volunteer to hold a position on the executive of the council. All residents are invited to attend the monthly meetings.

.
All residents are welcome to attend the meetings which take place on the last Tuesday of every month from 11:30AM until 12:00 noon in Tado Svetaine common room.

The Council, together with the Administrator, discuss planned events at Labdara, suggestions for resident outings, monthly bus trips. They hear reports from the various departments of the nursing home as required. Suggestions are made on behalf of the residents for desired changes or improvements or complaints. Food-related matters and menus are also discussed.

Issues raised by the council will usually receive a follow-up report by the Administrator on actions taken at the next Residents’ Council meeting. Minutes of council meetings are posted in the foyer of the nursing home for all to read.
