Lithuanian Independence Day Celebrations

Concert by “DAINA” seniors choir for our residents took place on February 15th in Tado Svetaine at Labdara. The choir dressed in traditional lithuanian costumes to mark Lithuania's independence day on February 16th.

The president of the Lithuanian Community of Canada, Joana Kuras, visited our home with her traditional annual greeting and presentation on the occasion of Vasario 16 -- the celebration of Lithuania’s Independence proclaimed on February 16, 1918. Next year will be the 100th Anniversary of this event.
