Toronto Challenge - 2019

 

TORONTO CHALLENGE 2019:

Activation Department staff and Volunteer Coordinator at Labdara, Nerijus Augutis organized Labdara Lithuanian Nursing Home’s participation in the Toronto Challenge run/walk 2019.  The walk took place on Sunday, June 9th and started from Nathan Philip’s Square at Toronto City Hall downtown.  Team Labdara had 10 participants all walkers except for one runner - Louie.  He ran the 5km. Distance in 24minutes and 2 seconds.  BRAVO, Louie.  The youngest walker was Nerija (7 years of age) and the eldest was Gajute (84 yrs of age).  The Labdara team raised $1,800 in all - we reached a bit over half of our goal of raising $3,000 to purchase additional outdoor furniture for our residents.  A sincere thanks to all who participated and donated.  Donations are still accepted until July 9th through the CanadaHelps website:
